Gingerbread Playdough Recipe

With Christmas being just days away and many of our kids already out of school for Winter break, I wanted to share a quick and easy recipe that can keep your little ones busy for hours!

Gingerbread Playdough

Ingredients:
  • 1 Cup Flour
  • 1/2 Cup Salt
  • 2 tsp. Cream of Tarter
  • 1 Tablespoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. Ginger
  • 1/4 tsp. Nutmeg
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 1 tsp. Vegetable Oil
Combine all dry ingredients.  Mix together water and oil and add to dry ingredients.  In a medium pot, Cook mixture 3-5 minutes on LOW heat, stirring constantly until the dough pulls away from the sides and sticks together into a ball.

Take dough out of pot and knead until it becomes soft and smooth.

Allow dough to cool and store in an air tight container.

My kids love Gingerbread Playdough because they pretend that they are making cookies.  The dough looks and smells just like the real thing.  They like to use the rolling pin and cookie cutters for this activity and the fun is endless.  Hope y'all enjoy.  Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays from my kitchen to yours.
